Exploration Skills in Wasteland 3 are Skills Exploration Skills which focuses on talents that increase the effectiveness and awareness of the character's surroundings. There is a total of 7 Exploration Skills available, and they are Armor Modding, Lockpicking, Nerd Stuff, Mechanics, Survival, Toaster Repair and Weapon Modding.

Armor Modding
Allows you to modify armor, granting it increased protection and additional benefits.
Additional Bonus:
- Install Armor Mods (Difficulty 1 to 10 or less)
Perks available:
- Tender Loving Care at level 10
Lockpicking
Allows you to open containers, doors, and other locked objects.
Additional Bonus:
- Pick Locks (Difficulty 1 to 10 or less)
- Crack Safes (Difficulty 1 to 10 or less)
Perks available:
- none
Nerd Stuff
Allows you to use and hack computers, and turn hostile robots to your side.
Additional Bonus:
- Hack Computers (Difficulty 1 to 10 or less)
- Hack Robots (Difficulty 1 to 10 or less)
Perks available:
- Targeting Override at level 3
- Electric Leakage at level 5
- Overclock at level 7
Mechanics
You can repair vehicles, generators and other machines more effectively. You also do more damage to mechanical foes.
Additional Bonus:
- Damage Vs. Robots +3% to 30%
- Damage Vs. Vehicles +3% to 30%
- Damage Vs. Synths +3% to 30%
- Fix Generators and Machines (Difficulty 1 to 10 or less)
Perks available:
- Structural Weakness at level 3
- Handy at level 4
- Reinforced Plating at level 5
- Fortify at level 7
Survival
Improves your ability to avoid dangers on the World Map, and contend with hostile wildlife.
Additional Bonus:
- Damage Vs. Animals +3% to 30%
- Damage Vs. Mutants +3% to 30%
- Avoid World Map Encounters (Difficulty 1 to 10 or less)
Perks available:
- Big Game Hunter at level 6
- Explorer's Instinct at level 10
Toaster Repair
Allows you to repair broken toasters.
Additional Bonus:
- Repair Toasters (Difficulty 1 to 10 or less)
Perks available:
- Toaster Expert at level 3
- Breakfast Bandit at level 5
- Heating Element at level 7
- Toasty at level 10
Weapon Modding
Allows you to modify your weapons, and strip them down for parts.
Additional Bonus:
- Install Weapon Mods (Difficulty 1 to 10 or less)
- Field Stripping Scrap +10% to 100%
