Animal Whisperer is a General Skill in Wasteland 3. Skills determine the character's active and passive actions in both combat, exploration, and interactions. All Skills have his Special Effects bonuses and perks.
Animal Whisperer Description
- Allows you to tame friendly animals to follow you, and temporarily tame hostile animals in combat (level 3 and above)

AnonymousGot Kathmandu @ Sans Luxe Apartment where the Irv clones are. I got her after I was done in Denver but I'm not sure if that cat appears after that story mission. she got +12% crit chance with the Spirit Animal Perk

You can actually get more than one animal companion on a ranger. So long as the method for adding them is not by taming.
Eg.
1. Start with no pets.
2. Tame any pet that is not a cat/parrot
3. Give Major Tom a cigarette
4. Talk to 6 Finger Larry with your animal whisperer ranger
5. You should have 1 ranger with 3 different animal companions. (This is as far as I got into the story, but i would assume this would continue to work for other companions that are not added by taming)

The Honey Badger increases downed time by 2 turns if you have the Spirit Animal Perk, it also has 17k hit points as just does not care.

You can get a bison from the quest Hard Knox Life if you have Animal Whisperer 9 from either killing or siding with the scar collectors

Growlers cub can be located at the snowed in resort bacl left behind ur vehicle. Also 4 to armor

stag increases melee damage, Doe increase stealth time by 1s
Animal companions are seriously bugged...they disappear sometimes..butt buff is still there..and you cannot take a new pet because you cannot dismiss the old...and sooetimes very rarely you can take 2 pets even with tame..with the non tame uniques...
