Counterintelligence is a Secondary Mission in Wasteland 3. This mission is recommended for Level 10. Missions are various tasks that players can be obtained throughout the game by some events or various NPCs. Secondary Missions are optional where players can obtain various rewards and additional information that adds to the story & lore of the game. This mission can be unlocked by ???.

Figure out why the Commune is so good at healing humans and repairing its own, then deliver the info to the Gippers.

Counterintelligence Objectives

1. Track down Vivisecto's assistant in the ruined hangar behind the Machine Commune.
2. Ask Vivisecto, RN about its healing and repair methods at the Machine Commune.
3. Protect V.I.C.I. MK IX from the hostile animals threatening her in the Machine Commune.
4. Find the Healer/Repairman at the Machine Commune in the Denver Airport.
5. Return to Vivisecto inside the Machine Commune.
6. Inside the Machine Commune, pay or convince Vivisecto to hand over the diagnostic report.

Counterintelligence Walkthrough

• Speak to Vivisecto, RN at the Machine Commune and ask him about human enhancement
• Head to the left part of the Machine Commune and you'll find V.I.C.I. Defeat the enemies to save it. You'll acquire the Tissue Samples required for the mission You'll have two options
• Send V.I.C.I back to Vivisecto, RN
  • If you have Nerd Stuff 6 you can reset V.I.C.I and convience him to go back to Vivisecto, RN. Note that if you do this you won't be able to recruit it
  • Go back to Vivisecto, RN for your reward
• Recruit V.I.C.I for the Ranger HQ
  • You can tell V.I.C.I to work for you at the Ranger HQ.
  • Go back and speak with Vivisecto, RN. You can lie to him and tell him that V.I.C.I die or confess you recruited it. If you choose the second option he will demand 200$ as a compensation. You can use Kiss Ass 6 to skip the payment

Counterintelligence Rewards

• Unlock the Cyborg Tech perk.
• If you recruit V.I.C.I. you'll be able to talk to it at the Medical Area of the  Ranger HQ and acquire the Investigative Eye Perk for all your characters.
